Police are searching for a group of people they say were involved in a violent back-on attack on a female security guard at the Juicy Festival, which broke out over the weekend.
A security guard, a 27-year-old woman, had her hair pulled from behind and kicked in the ribs by a “stranger” during a festival at the Red Hill Amphitheater on Friday night, police said.
The incident occurred between 8:30pm and 9:00pm and the victims were treated by paramedics at the event.
Police are now searching for four people (two women and two men) believed to have been involved in the altercation.
The women are described as short with medium build and brown hair.
The second man was described as being tall, slim build, and shirtless.
The festival’s organizers, headlined by Nelly, Ne-Yo and Ja Rule, came under attack after the event ran out of water on a sweltering 38-degree day.
St. John WA had to respond to dozens of calls for help after people started collapsing in the crowd.
Between 3:30pm and 5:30pm, four women aged between 20 and 40 were taken to St John of God Midland after collapsing from heat exposure.
Five more incidents followed soon after, with partygoers receiving treatment for various health problems at the festival.
Witnesses are asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online.
