Sacramento – Private security guards are investigating a shooting in South Sacramento.
Sacramento Police said the incident occurred shortly after 4:30 a.m. Sunday along Block 5200 of Stockton Boulevard. Officers rushed to the scene and discovered that the guards and the subject were having some type of altercation.
An altercation led to security guards shooting another person, police say. The man who was shot was taken to hospital but ultimately died from his injuries on Tuesday.
A homicide investigator and a crime scene investigator took over the case and the investigation is continuing, police said.
Detectives point out that the guards have not been arrested.
The name of the person killed has not been released.
