Chicago (WLS) — Two people, including a security guard, were shot Thursday afternoon at a South Side eatery, Chicago police said.
A 25-year-old man walked into Midway #2 Food and Liquor on the 1300 block of East 67th Street shortly after 12:15 p.m. and got into an argument with a 41-year-old security guard, according to CPD.
A guard told the man to leave, and the guard was shot in the thigh, according to CPD.
The man and security guards began fighting over a gun, and the suspect was also shot in the thigh, CPD said.
Both were taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition and their weapons were recovered from the scene, according to CPD.

The suspect has been taken into custody and charges are pending.
Local detectives are investigating.
After the incident, the store was surrounded by yellow tape.
