Rawalpindi: A security guard of a private bank was killed and another seriously injured in a bank robbery here on Monday within the jurisdiction of Nasirabad Police Station.
A police spokesman said an unidentified gunman tried to rob a cash van of a private bank in the Nasirabad area, but the robbers opened fire when security guards resisted.
As a result, prison guard Abdul Waheed Jan died and another Umar Zaib was seriously injured. Rescue 1122 transported the injured and bodies to the hospital. Waseem Riaz of SSP (Operations) visited the crime scene along with other police officers. City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Shahzad Nadeem Bukhari became aware of the incident and ordered to use the latest technology to arrest the robbers.
