A security guard suffered moderate injuries after being assaulted overnight at Auckland’s Westgate shopping center.
Police said they responded to an incident on Fernhill Drive around 3:28 a.m. when four people broke into two retail stores in the complex.
One of the perpetrators assaulted a security guard who is now recovering and in stable condition.
Police say investigators are “following an aggressive investigation stream” and will be present in the area this morning to conduct an on-site investigation.
