"To give and not to count the cost, To fight and not to heed the wounds.”
Prayers for generosity are pervasive throughout the Ateneo experience. Young Athenians are taught this prayer almost on the first day they enter the sacred halls of their schools. More often than I try to admit, I find myself quietly humming the melody of a song as soon as the words “Dear Lord, teach me to be generous…” are said.
Ah, but really, every day, every day, it’s about showing generosity of spirit through a unique sense of duty. Under the heat of the sun, under the pouring rain, to keep the whole community safe. He does it all with a smile on his face, basking in the fulfillment of his hard day’s work and a huge thank you from the community he vowed to protect at all costs.
And to embody this generosity by making the greatest sacrifices.
Class of Ateneo HS 4E 1997 honors this generosity from Kuya Jeneven Badiala, who was thoughtlessly separated from the community he selflessly served and the family he loved unconditionally while on duty on July 24, 2022 . Offering our own talent, we are auctioning off this 20 x 30 inch watercolor of her Ateneo High School senior wing. Our class promises that all proceeds from the auction will go to Kuya Jeneben’s family.
Participate in the silent auction which will end at 8pm Manila time on Saturday, December 3rd. As a community that spread this act of selfless and extraordinary generosity, let us open our hearts and give back to Kuya Jeneben’s loved ones in his memory.Fine his Art Philippines at +639778094186 Please contact us or visit our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100083183979741&mibextid=LQQJ4d) for more information.
