Video footage was shown today as Rommel Akeem Cummins’ murder trial continues in the Third Supreme Court.
The lead investigator, Sergeant Michael Ifil, returned to the witness stand and told the court that Cummins was shown footage while he was in police custody.
Cummins, 30, of Vauxhall No. 2 Christ Church, was accused of murdering Dave Archer on June 10, 2019 while he was aboard the MV DreamChaser, where he served as a security guard.
The 12 jurors were shown video footage of Cummins being interviewed by Ifill and Police Constable Mervyn Sealy, as well as footage of the parking lot closest to the MV DreamChaser.

Cummins is also seen and heard dictating a statement to Ifil outlining his whereabouts and actions leading up to Archer’s shooting.
The second video shows a motorcycle pulling into a parking lot near MV DreamChaser and MC Buccaneer.
After being questioned by Senior State Attorney Neville Watson, Ifil confirmed that they were the same videos shown to the accused.
Judge Carlyle Greaves has postponed the matter until Wednesday morning, when defense attorney Angela Mitchell Gitens is scheduled to question Ifil in connection with the video footage.
